Rapid Healing. Focused Time. Lasting Change.

🔹 What Are EMDR Intensives?
EMDR Intensives offer a powerful alternative to traditional weekly therapy sessions by condensing months of trauma-focused therapy into a shorter, highly focused format. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed by past events, or seeking accelerated healing, an EMDR Intensive may be the right path for you.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Intensives are extended therapy sessions designed to help you process traumatic experiences more quickly and deeply than traditional therapy allows.
Instead of weekly 50-minute sessions, intensives typically range from:
Half-day (4 hours)
Full-day (7 hours, 1 hr lunch included)
Multi-day custom packages
-
🔹 Who Are EMDR Intensives For?
Instead of addressing challenges over an extended period of time, weekly or biweekly, an intensive approach allows you to work through many issues in a focused, accelerated manner, helping you fast-track the healing and relief you’re seeking as you move forward in life. Keep in mind, it's called an intensive for a reason. The work is indeed intense, but so is the transformation and healing that comes with it.
EMDR Intensives are ideal for individuals who:
Feel “stuck” in weekly or biweekly therapy
Are processing single-event trauma (accidents, assault, loss)
Need faster results due to limited availability or schedules
Prefer deep, focused work without long gaps between sessions
Are first responders, healthcare professionals, or therapists seeking burnout recovery

🔹 Benefits of EMDR Intensives
✅ Faster results - Why take months when it can take days?
✅ Greater momentum - Rather than letting day-to-day stressors interrupt your progress, an Intensive allows you to focus fully on healing your trauma in a concentrated, short-term format.
✅ Cost-effective - In the long run, intensives are more cost-effective because the therapy is concentrated and highly focused. The work is significantly more efficient, often requiring fewer total sessions and ultimately less overall cost. Instead of repeatedly opening up and then closing down each session, we can stay with the work and delve deeper without interruption, leading to faster progress and greater continuity in healing.
✅ Flexible scheduling for busy lives - Instead of planning your life around weekly/biweekly therapy sessions, you can begin living the healthy, fulfilling life you envision. An Intensive offers the opportunity for a powerful emotional reset—just what you may have been searching for.
✅ Suitable for both new and current clients -

Intensive therapy is a powerful and focused approach to trauma recovery and emotional healing. While it requires a larger upfront financial commitment compared to traditional weekly therapy, many find it to be a more cost-effective and efficient option in the long run. Instead of ongoing, open-ended payments, intensives offer a one-time, fixed cost—giving you clarity and control over your mental health investment.
Many clients choose to plan ahead and save before scheduling their intensive, knowing they’re taking a decisive step toward lasting change. With concentrated time dedicated to deep therapeutic work, intensive therapy can accelerate your progress and help you reclaim your life sooner.
-
When clients experience rapid and effective emotional healing through intensive therapy, it can significantly shift the dynamics within their family system. While these positive changes often lead to growth, they can also create challenges—especially if others in the system struggle to adjust to the new balance. At both the intake and conclusion of your trauma recovery intensive, we’ll explore these potential shifts together, ensuring you have the tools and mental health support needed to navigate any impact on your relationships with confidence and clarity.

Many clients complete an intensive therapy session and return to their daily lives feeling empowered and ready to move forward. For some, especially those addressing specific aspects of trauma, ongoing support from a weekly/biweekly therapist can be beneficial to continue processing and integration.
In certain cases, full trauma recovery or “story clearing” may require multiple intensives. When this is the case, having a trusted therapist to provide support between intensives may be recommended—or even necessary—to ensure safety, emotional regulation, and continued progress.
All of these considerations will be carefully assessed and discussed during your initial intake call to ensure your treatment plan is tailored to your unique needs.
